It was nice to have some warm weather although I am told it was a bit cold near the sea end of the cycle, but there again it is a bit barren and exposed down there. If it is any consolation I was warm at transition.
Next event is the Petone Workingmens Club 5 Bridges Marathon and associated distances. Nice course along the Hutt river trail, ideal for some 10km training. After that we are at Shelly Bay for the next Duathlon.
Best Wishes
Bob & Mike.

Belmont Duathlon Results 21 June 2009.
Finally it turned out to be a nice day in the park, a bit cold but only if you were standing round spectating. Good to see loads of new faces and yes Ladies that is a hill in the Long Duathlon.
Well done to those of you who had a go at a competition for the first time, it really isn't as daunting as you first thought it might be. If this was your first event, well look on the bright side, any normal flat course will be a doddle now.
Nice and tight up the sharp end of the long distance in both the men's and ladies event. Graeme did say he was only cycling at 70% but I'm sure I heard Cameron mutter that he was only going at 60%!!
Our next event is on 19 July at the Rimutaka. This will double up as the Wellington Duathlon Champ's. That does sound grand and elitist but it is still a fun event for everyone no matter what your fitness levels are. There will be a 10km and 5km run/walk as well. The course is running in the park on flat trails and park roads. The cycle is along the coast road towards the sea, so if it is a nice day you can always stop and play in the sand. A nice quiet cycle route with no hills just the odd slope. So we look forward to seeing you there.
The results are available below any problems come back to us.
Best Wishes
Bob & Mike
