Start Point: Waiare Road, Okaihau just off State Highway 1.
Parking/drop off area is provided at th start.
No parking allowed on State Highway 1.

EVENT NUMBERS & CHIP PICK UP
Please nominate pick up preference on entry form:
1. Delievered to your hotel/motel (no residential or bussiness addresses) on Friday 19th November (Paihia/Kerikeri vicintiy only). Please note this option will icur an additional cost of $5 per entry.
2. Pick up Wednesday 17th November, 3pm-6pm at the ASB Northland Sports House, Kensington, Whangarei.
3. Pick up Thursday 18th November, 10am-6pm at the ASB Northland Sports House, Kensington, Whangarei.
4. Pick up Friday 19th November, 2pm-9pm at the Kerikeri Rugby Clubrooms, Kerikeri Domain, Kerikeri.
5. Pick up Saturday 20th November at the Startline, Okaihau - Race number & chip only. This option is discouraged and should only be used if no alternative.
*Corporate team numbers/chipc must be collected together.

TIMING
The event will use the ChampionChip timing system.
All entrants will have their time recorded by an electronic chip.
Chips will be issued with race numbers.
Entrants are responsible for their chip from time of issue and will incur a $50.00 penalty if not returned.

ATHLETICS NORTHLAND CHAMPS
The Fullers GreatSights Kerikeri Half Marathon is sanctioned as the Athletics Northland Half Marathon champs.
This Championship is administered by Athletics Northland.
Entry to these Champs must be indicated on entry. If you are wishing to compete 'up a grade' (eg - a masters athlete in the open grade) please contact Sport Northland.

WALK
The walk will continue to have a focus on the social aspect that so many people enjoy; however, some compeditive walkers have highlighted a need to recognise legitimate fast walkers, therefore merit prizes for walkers based on honest efforts will be awarded. If you wish to be eligible for the 'fastest walking' prize, we ask you select 'Competitive Walk' section when entering.

CORPORATE TEAMS
10 entrants per team.
First four male and two female finish times are counted towards corporate team trophy.
All 10 team members must be full time employees of the company.
Team t-shirts to be worn by all 10 compeditors.

CORPORATE TENT SITES
We have a limited number of corporate tent sites available this year.
Corporate tent sites will 3x3 meters and be positioned along the edge of the finish shoot on the Kerikeri Domain.
You must have a corporate team entered to be eligible for a corporate tent site.
Sites will be invoiced at $100.00 incl GST per site once application for site has been accepted.
Sport Northland reserves the right to not allow signage on corporte tent sites if there is a conflict of interest with an exsisting event or Sport Northland Sponsor.

LATE ENTRIES/WITHDRAWALS
Discounted entry fees if you enter on or before 5/11/10.
All refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee. No refunds will be made after 5/11/10.
Requests fro refunds must be submitted in writing or by email before 5/11/10 to sportnorth@sportnorth.co.nz or Sport Northland PO Box 1492, Whangareo 0140.
No entries will be accepted on the day.

DRINK STATIONS/TOILETS
Drink Stations will be available en route, approximately every 3 km, plus at the finish.
Portable toilets available at start, 5km, 10km, 15km and finish.

WHEELED CONVEYANCES/BABY BUGGIES
Due to health and safety planning no wheeled conveyances (i.e. baby buggies, rollerblades or skateboards) are permitted in this event.

BUS TO START
Free buse's depart from (must indicate on entry)
-Kerikeri Rugbly Club Rooms, Cobhan Road, Kerikeri from 6.30am - 7.45am
-Fullers Paihia Office , Marsden Road, Paihia at 7.00am only (return bus to Paihia from the Kerikeri Rugby Clubrooms after prize giving approximately 2.00pm).
Runner's must catch the early buses.
Pay bus departs Whangarei - bookings essential.

SAFETY
The event is helf on public roads. Treat all roads as open at all times.
Expect oncoming and overtaking traffic at all times.
Please obey all traffic laws and regulations.
Take extreme care when approaching driveways and side roads - expect vehicles.
Where there is a lane coned for participants, you are required to remain within the cones at all times.
Take extreme care when passing other participants.
Marshals will be wearing high-visibility vests and are there for your safety. Follwo their instructions and those of the event organisers at all times.
Footpaths and footbridges are to be used where available.
There will be a lead vehicle preceding the first participant and a tail vehicle following the last participant. If assistance is required please stop and wait for the tail vehicle or notify a marshal.
No animals (except guide dogs) are permitted to accompany participants during the event.

AGE/HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS
For health and safety reasons, sport Northland recomends that entrants be 18 years or over to compete in the Half Marathon.
Sport Northland recommends first time Half Marathon compeditors should consult a health professional before entering the event.

PRIZE GIVING
Kerikeri Doamin at 1.00pm - compeditors must be present to receive prizes.
Minor spot prize recipients will be listed at the Kerikeri Rugby Clubrooms on Friday 19th November. These can be collected on Friday 19th November or until 1.00pm on Saturday 20th November.

LUGGAGE
A luggage truck will be positioned at the start to transport luggage to the finish.
Luggage lables to be collected with race number.
Race numbers must be shown to be able to collect luggage at the finish.
Luggage to be collected by 1.00pm
All care will be taken with the luggage, but event organisers will not accept responsibilty for lost or stolen gear.

AFTER RACE
Massage, food, drink and etertainment will be availible at the finish on the Kerikeri Domain.
First Aid will be available in the Kerikeri Rugby Clubrooms on the Kerikeri Domain.
